This photograph made me catch my breath. I have a friend who went to Edinburgh for a conference of pharmaceutical companies. She said that she’s never really gotten much of a profound experience from scenes of nature. That was until she went to this conference. When she had some down-time, she decided to explore the countryside. It was there that she found beauty so sublime that even she derived something of an aesthetic, dare we say, spiritual event. From this single photograph, I can see where she was coming from. Kudos!
I’m glad it meant so much to you (and that Edinburgh had such an impact on her)
I love it for its charming and historical city, plus countryside on its very doorstep

What a fabulous photo!! It makes Scotland look wild and windswept. I love the sense of distance in your photo. And such a gorgeous sky.

I’ve been up there a few times now, and the view is always great, whatever the weather.
