Quite. I’ve just Googled to find the story and it looks a bit of a mess. Back in the days when Boulogne still ran ferries, we were blockaded by fishermen, and ended up having to get a passage on Eurostar at last minute rates. i.e. ‘We’ve got your number. We know you’re desperate. Pay up! Silly money!’
Things never change! I hadn’t done my research but I see now that this has already happened at least once earlier this month. Hoping Cherbourg is open and then debating what to do. No point deciding anything until my feet touch solid ground!

So many stories – all adds to your travelogue I guess though!

Quite. Who needs airports, or even cash these days?

Today I’m wishing I was in an airport rather than a closed French port!
