Sea Containers House was originally conceived as a hotel, apparently, but became instead a large office space, with its main tenants, Sea Containers, giving their name to the building.
The original Sea Containers company filed for bankruptcy back in 2006 and although parts of the business have continued, they are no longer based here.
The building has finally achieved its original intended purpose, with a large part of it opening as a luxury hotel, the Mondrian. It is a fantastic location for a hotel, sitting right on the Thames Path on the South Bank, a stone’s throw from the Oxo Tower and Globe Theatre.
I captured this reflection this summer, while the hotel renovation work was going on. I must get back and report on the views from inside.

That is such an awesome composition ! You have quite a good photographic eye, to catch details that seem so ordinary, and reveals themselves so sweet one in pic… The windows with its special decor is really a great support for catching a reflection of the street, nicely done !
