The time of carnival is definitely the time to go looking for grandeur in Venice. The light behind the mural is captivating.

Yes, it was a great time to be there. That staircase is in one of the top hotels (I wasn’t staying there!) and was a fantastic spot for a photo shoot. The workshop leader had booked this staircase and the music room
