Depends where and when – this was about 10:30 on a Sunday morning. Soho gets a lot more crowded. And I found Oxford Street quite busy when I popped along there last week. I don’t think the shops are hugely busy inside (but I can’t really judge as i wasn’t going into them myself) Hotels are quite empty and there are some bargains available if you fancy venturing down 🙂
Oh, a great spot to be 🙂 I’m planning a walk to Greenwich next time i’m in. If you do decide to come down, I’d recommend a night or two in a central hotel too, so that you can do lots of walking without any need for public transport. There’s one I particularly like at Tower Bridge, Citizen M, and you can get a room there for £79 at the moment. The doors are locked to outsiders so it’s pretty empty inside.

I can recommend Citizen M too. I have used their London hotels and also a few in other places.
Your liking for Tower Bridge has been obvious from the many pictures you show of it. As an ex-Londoner it speaks to me – loudly.
